WORKING WITH STONEY & FRIENDS CHARITY FISH IN 2006
As you know, between the 3rd - 5th March 2005 the annual Carthagena Fisheries, Carp-angling.com and Stoney and Friends 2006 Charity Fish In was held at Carthagena Fisheries despite freezing temperatures and frozen lakes the event still went ahead. The event and those that attended raised a grand total of over £4,000 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief with more money still to come. This now takes the total raised over the last four events to over £20,000. Unfortunately the lakes provided no action due to regular freezing. However the rivers provided a little more sport with barbel up to 12.04.On behalf of those involved I would like to thanks everyone who supported the event over the weekend and thank the various websites who have allowed the event to be posted up on the forums. As ever a special mention must go out to those companies and individuals that supported the event with raffle prizes for what can only be described as a fantastic prize draw which took almost two hours to complete. In no particular order…Fishing Republic, Essex Angling, Korda, CEMEX Angling, Carp Addict Magazine,Fox International, The Bait Feed Company, DC Artwork, Mo's Co, British Airways Clubs Angling Society, Crafty Catcher Baits, Dave & Kathy Walsh (DK Fisheries France), Heathrow Bait Service, Lea Valley Baits,Gardner Tackle, The Tackle Box, Nash Tackle, Dynamite Baits, Mainline Baits, CC Moore, Jim Shelley, Terry Hearn, Paul Selman, Trakker products, Pallatrax, Simpson's Tackle, Anglers Mail, Harefield Tackle, JRC products, Fosters of Birmingham, Epping Fishing Tackle, The Carp Society, Carp-Tech, Hookers Bait.A full write up of the event will be available on www.stoneyandfriends.co.uk in the near future.Once again many thanks for all your support, see you next year
